Cubs Hammock Camp – February 2022

Date: 14th Feb 2022 Author: Anthony Lander

The Cubs section had a brilliant weekend at Woolley Edge Scout Campsite. Yes it was windy and rainy, but that doesn’t stop the 69th Family having fun!!
Some of the Cubs have never slept outside before the weekend, so to spend a night in a hammock was a real achievement.
Bear (Scott) was a very proud Cub Leader!! ??

Over the weekend, they got to have a go on the Bouldering Wall, as well as Axe Throwing. They also got to have a sing-a long around the campfire. Which is also where Stephen (GSL) invested our two new Young Leaders, as well as Tanya (Group Administrator) into the 69th Family. Congratulations and Welcome to the three of you!!

As always a massive thank you to the team of volunteers, who came together to help the Young People have a great experience

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
